This winter of 2022/2023 is marked by the consequences of climate change. However, winter remains the transition season for paragliding in the northern hemisphere. Here are a few of Aquilae – Performance Paragliding Academy‘s recent achievements with an ever-growing number of pilots in need of support.
The 2023 season is open! We are launching the recruitment process for aspiring instructors, who we will accompany from next February until the selection tests in September 2023.
A good week of coaching for the CNF from FFVL (Fédération Française de Vol Libre) has just ended at the Belgian Paragliding Open. 5 rounds were run from Piedrahita, from August 15 to 20, with sunshine, thermals, smiles and results:
Sandra Antony second in the women’s ranking and second in the overall Serial Class ranking
Karlien Engelen Belgian women’s champion and second in the Belgian Serial Class ranking
For the second year running, and the second edition of this competition, Aquilae – Performance Paragliding Academy acted as Meet Director for the Trans’Plaine. The concept of the Trans’Plaine, dreamed up and realized by Laurent Laval, is an itinerant paragliding competition on the plains, to fly where it flies, as a team.
The season is in full swing. It’s time to introduce you to the X1X team, its project and its members. At the origin of the project is Vincent. With his experience of the mountains and motor sports, he decided to support a small group of promising paragliding pilots. The project quickly gained momentum and he took on the role of team manager, then put together a team of 3 talented and motivated athletes. X1X sets itself apart from all the other structures in the free-flight industry by federating a complete network of specialists in all aspects of performance: psychology, dietetics, physical preparation, recovery and communication.
